Most of the MP3 files on this page are musical recordings of my own composition, performance, and production. The files are digital recordings of material that for far-too-long sat around on cassette tape. The original recordings were created with various keyboards, drum machines, and tone modules from the "dinosaur" age and were mastered on a Tascam Porta Two four-track which uses standard 1/8-inch cassette tape. These MP3 files are compressed at 112Kbps. Given the above explanation and qualification, the audio quality of these files, while acceptable, is not high. The quality of the music, on the other hand, is entirely up to you and depends on your own taste and level of attachment to "commodified" chord progressions and music theory. I refer to this collection of music as "Changeling." View the CD cover here.

Feel free to copy and reproduce the "Chris Walters" files to your heart's content. However, I ask that you properly attribute the material to me and that you do not use any of these files for personal or financial gain or assist others in doing the same.

The file size is displayed in megabytes, and the length of the file is displayed in minutes and seconds. Internet Explorer users: left-click on the "[download/play]" link to play the file; right-click on "[download/play]" and click on "Save Target As" to save the file to your hard drive. Download time will vary, of course, depending upon your connection to the internet. For the non-tech savvy people out there using dial-up connections, please keep in mind that downloading 1 MB usually takes about 5 minutes. Therefore, trying to play the MP3 directly from the web site is pointless.
